This past spring, the Missouri State University AMA Chapter decided to create a new event across campus with our first-ever "Build Your Own Bouquet" fundraiser. This was more than just a fundraiser, we created an interactive experience that brought MSU students together, strengthening our community and our chapter's presence in a beautiful way.
Cultivating Community, One Bouquet at a Time
The plan was simple: to provide a fun, creative, and affordable way for students to celebrate Valentine's Day, whether for a significant other, a friend, or themselves! We set up a vibrant station with hundreds of fresh flowers, ribbons, and wrapping supplies. For just $2.50 per stem, students could build their own bouquets.
The event was a success as it brought a lot of positive feedback. It was incredible to see the campus community come together, share laughs, and unleash their creativity.
A Fundraiser That Exceeded All Expectations
We went into this event with a goal to raise $200 to support our chapter's initiatives for the semester. Thanks to the overwhelming support from the MSU community, we exceeded that goal.
We raised over $500!
This astounding success makes it one of our most successful fundraisers to date. The proceeds will go a long way in helping us provide more valuable workshops, opportunities, and events for our members throughout the rest of the academic year.
The Real Bloom: Strengthening AMA's Presence
Beyond how much we raised, the real victory was in the conversations we had and the awareness we raised. For many students, this was their first direct interaction with AMA. We got to chat with them about what we do, the benefits of joining AMA, and the community we’ve built. It was a perfect, positive touchpoint that showcased our chapter's creativity and engagement.

This was such a cute idea, offering Valentine's Day services to students on Missouri State's campus! It made it so easy to access flowers for gifts.
Super fond of my first event with AMA :)
